What Is YouTube’s Ask Studio?

Ask Studio is a conversational AI interface within YouTube Studio that allows creators to ask questions about their channel’s data and receive real-time, data-driven responses. It looks like a sparkle icon in the YouTube Studio sidebar which opens a dialogue window when you click on it.

Key Features of Ask Studio and How It Works

  • Comment insights: it summarizes viewer feedback across videos, highlighting key themes and audience reactions;
  • Performance analysis: Ask Studio analyzes video and channel metrics to identify trends and suggest areas for improvement;
  • Content suggestions: the new feature generates ideas for future videos based on past performance and audience engagement.

Creators can interact with Ask Studio by typing specific and detailed questions such as “What’s the main theme in my latest video comments?” or “How did my last video perform?” The AI then processes the channel’s data to provide relevant insights and suggestions.

As of now, Ask Studio is only available to creators in the United States and supports English. YouTube has not announced plans for broader availability or support for additional languages at this time.
