YouTube will implement new strict rules for iGaming videos and content from November 2025. As per the new restrictions, creators won’t be able to upload content that redirect viewers to Gambling and Betting sites, if they aren’t officially licensed. Videos that show games with a possibility of loss or winning digital assets, like NFT, in-game goods, or other things that have any monetary value, will also be restricted.
Apart from the aforementioned rules, YouTube has toughened up the attitude toward “social casinos”; those are games that imitate the iGaming thrill, even if you can’t win real money. Such games are available for users from 18 years old, and their authors can be deprived of monetization. The platform explains that such content supports addictive attitudes and influences teenagers.
Content creators can bring their videos in line with the new rules until November 17th. Videos uploaded before this date will not receive strikes but may become age-restricted or deleted. Authors are advised to remove links to gambling sites from the descriptions in advance and check the videos for advertising inserts related to unlicensed gambling.
