Caesars Entertainment is in trouble in Pennsylvania after a consumer group claims the company misled. PHAi (Pennsylvanians for Honest Advertising in iGaming) has filed a lawsuit saying Caesars’ “100% deposit match” promo wasn’t what it seemed.
According to the lawsuit, instead of matching players’ deposits with real cash, Caesars gave out bonus funds with strict wagering requirements. PHAi says those terms weren’t disclosed in the original ad which made the offer look way better than it was.
The case was filed in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. PHAi says the promotion created a “false sense of value” and is seeking to hold Caesars accountable for what they call unfair and deceptive marketing.
This comes at a time when gambling ads in the US are under more scrutiny — and more pressure to be transparent.
