Google has renewed its Google Ads policy on November 19, 2025. Now it does not allow offline iGaming ads in 42 countries.

In the renewed version of the “Gambling & Games” policy, it’s clearly stated that “brick-and-mortar” casinos, iGaming platforms and streams of offline poker tournaments aren’t allowed in several countries; check here.

The new list includes 8 new countries added to the policy — Bulgaria, Estonia, Italy, Lithuania, Northern Ireland, the Philippines, Turkey, and Ukraine. This extended list strengthens the global Google restrictions, connecting regulations of ads to local laws and a responsible approach to gambling.

Violation of this rule will be punished very severely: an advertising account can be blocked immediately, without warning. This strict policy reflects Google’s desire to minimise the risks of promoting physical gambling, especially in countries where the legal status or control of gambling activities may not be strict.

From an industry perspective, this means a significant reduction in advertising opportunities for gambling operators, who previously could use Google Ads to attract customers to their offline establishments.

The new ban may change marketing strategies, forcing companies to look for other promotion channels or tighten compliance with Google licences and requirements.
