DragonBet has been granted a sportsbook licence in Ireland, according to information published on the operator’s LinkedIn page. The company confirmed that its product is already available to local customers.
Sports betting in Ireland has long been regulated in both land-based and online segments, and the market is known for its exceptionally high level of competition. According to data published on the official website of the current regulator, approximately 90 online sports betting licences have been issued in the country to date.
Licence holders include major international brands such as Mr Green, Betway, Betfair, 1xBet, and others. The full list of licensed operators is available on the regulator’s official website. Against this backdrop, DragonBet’s entry into the Irish market can be viewed as a notably ambitious move.
In addition, Ireland is expected to launch a fully regulated online casino market in 2026 as part of a broader overhaul of the national gambling regulatory framework.
