The Australian media regulator ACMA has asked national internet providers to block another batch of illegal online casinos. Investigations revealed that several popular platforms were operating in violation of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.

Newly added to the blocked list are Abu King, BetAlice, Dragon Slots, Nova Jackpot, Power Up Casino, QuickWin, Roby Casino, Rocketspin, Rooster Bet, Vegasino, Vegas Now and Winbay.

Website blocking is only one element of ACMA’s broader efforts to shield Australians from illegal gambling operators. Since 2019, the regulator has enforced access restrictions on 1,455 such sites, and since 2017, roughly 220 operators have exited the Australian market altogether rather than violate the tightened rules.

ACMA warns consumers that a site may look legitimate but still lack licensing and essential customer protections. Those who use illegal gambling services risk losing their funds with no recourse. Users can verify an operator’s authorisation in the official ACMA register, which also provides safety guidance and instructions for submitting complaints.
